If you require an appointment then the General Medical Council will expect a referral letter to me, from your General Practitioner, if you are a UK resident. However, there are sometimes circumstances when this is not appropriate to involve your GP.

It is a mandatory requirement from insurance companies that a General Practitioner requests the referral in order that fees can be reimbursed. Dr Rowlands is registered with all the major insurance companies in the UK (BUPA, AXA PPP, Clinicare, Groupama, Cigna, Standard Life, BUPA International, Norwich Union, BCWA, First Assist. Legal and General, Medisure, Prime Health, Remedi - not Beneden).
